Remove metadata from Word documents
Cleaning clears core and custom properties, and removes selected extended fields such as Company, Manager and Template. Package structure and document content are preserved. The ZIP is rebuilt, reopened and re-inspected before download. Comments and tracked changes remain by default. Explicit Word review-copy options can remove comments or accept/reject supported revisions. Media and external relationships are preserved except for exclusively owned removed comment resources.

Before you check.
Will the original document change?
No. The original File is read only. A separate cleaned package is generated with a neutral download filename.
Does a clean copy mean my file is safe?
No. We remove only supported metadata and list what remains. Visible content and other unsupported information may still reveal private details.
Which files can I check?
JPG, JPEG, PNG, static WebP and supported HEIC photos; PDFs; DOCX, XLSX and PPTX Office files; and supported MP4/MOV videos. The screenshot editor accepts JPG, PNG and static WebP. Batches allow up to 10 files and 100 MB total. See Supported formats for each tool’s limits.
