Remove EXIF from JPG and PNG

EXIF can identify your camera, capture date and location. This tool re-encodes the decoded image instead of selectively editing its EXIF block. The result is inspected again before download. JPEG quality and colors may change, and animation or auxiliary image content is not preserved.

Supported formats and processing budgets depend on the tool. View limits · Understand the limitations.

PRIVACY-FIRST PROCESSING

Your browser does the work.
Your files stay with you.

No upload. No account. No AI service reading your document. Just a local check before you share.

Privacy details

Files and results stay in browser memory. We serve the app and its scripts; your hosting provider still receives ordinary site requests. Optional Google Analytics measures site visits after you allow it; our analytics events exclude file details and results. No remote maps are installed.

A FEW USEFUL ANSWERS

Before you check.

Does removing EXIF remove visible personal information?

No. Faces, addresses, screens and other details in the image remain. Review the visible content before sharing.

Does a clean copy mean my file is safe?

No. We remove only supported metadata and list what remains. Visible content and other unsupported information may still reveal private details.

Which files can I check?

JPG, JPEG, PNG, static WebP and supported HEIC photos; PDFs; DOCX, XLSX and PPTX Office files; and supported MP4/MOV videos. The screenshot editor accepts JPG, PNG and static WebP. Batches allow up to 10 files and 100 MB total. See Supported formats for each tool’s limits.
