How to use Subtitle Editor

  1. Choose an SRT or VTT file, or continue here from Subtitle Generator. Add the matching recording if you want to preview captions against its audio/video.
  2. Edit each caption’s text, start and end time. Use Shift all subtitle times when the whole file needs the same timing correction. Review timing warnings before exporting.
  3. Generate edited subtitles, then download SRT or VTT and check them in your intended player or editor. Any further edit requires generating new downloads; the original file is unchanged.
