PDF keeps vector decoration and embedded PDF text/graphics. New stationery text uses vector outlines. PNG is the current page at up to 1600px, suitable for screen sharing. SVG exports the border alone, without your document or text.

How to use Floral Border & Stationery Designer
- Start with a blank page or add a PDF.
- Choose a border, colours and its position.
- Preview your pages, then save PDF, PNG or SVG.
Step-by-step instructions
- Choose Blank / text page or Decorate a PDF. For PDF mode, add an unlocked, unsigned file and choose pages using their thumbnails; enlarging a thumbnail helps you inspect it first.
- Start with a look in Border. Presets keep your document and wording. Change pattern, border position, paper size, width, density, motif size and placement. Grow another variation changes the seed, not your content.
- Choose main and accent inks, paper colour and opacity. Add optional text in Content for new stationery. Heritage serif and clean sans use the bundled fonts, including supported Indian scripts. The dashed safe-area guide is only a preview aid.
- Preview the page beside the controls. In Export, confirm the selected-page count. Create a decorated PDF, a PNG of the current page, or a border-only SVG, then save the ready download.
Tips and what to expect
A border that leaves room for your content
The designer places procedural stems, petals and leaves around a protected content area. For an existing PDF, its visible page is scaled into that area. For a new page, you can leave the centre blank or add text. The result is a decorative copy, not an editor for the original document.
PDF, PNG or SVG?
PDF preserves vector decoration and the embedded text/graphics of an uploaded PDF, scaled to fit. New stationery text is drawn as vector outlines, so it is not an editable paragraph in another program. PNG is a screen copy of the current page, up to a 1600px longest edge. SVG contains only the border, with an optional transparent background; it excludes your document and wording.
Leave enough space for words
Wider borders make the content area smaller. On a PDF, that reduces the size of its original text; inspect small print before exporting. Larger motifs need enough border width and may be clipped at the page boundary when moved. Printer margins can clip outer decoration, so check print preview or use the printer’s fit-to-printable-area option.
Supported files and limits
- PDF input: up to 25 MB and 20 pages, with page dimensions between about 70 and 635 mm. Encrypted, signed and editable-form PDFs are not supported. Split a longer document first. Output is limited to 50 MB.
- Editable forms must be exported as a flattened, unsigned PDF first. Comments and links are not retained in a decorated copy; when present, acknowledge that change before PDF/PNG export. Keep the original for editing or interaction.
- New stationery supports up to 140 title characters and 6000 body characters, flowing onto at most 10 pages. Supported text depends on the bundled Latin and Indian-script fonts. Unsupported glyphs produce an error rather than being silently omitted.
- The browser adaptation uses compact vector ornament geometry inspired by Florilegium. It does not run LuaLaTeX or edit DOCX/TeX source files. Files, wording and results are processed locally and remain in tab memory; save downloads before clearing or leaving.
Local processing and privacy
ToolDock processes the files you select in your browser and does not upload them for this tool. Originals stay unchanged. Loading the website, processing code and Google libraries still make network requests; local file processing does not mean a network-silent page. Read what is requested and stored.
Questions about Floral Border & Stationery Designer
Can I add a floral border to an existing PDF without covering its text?
Yes. The visible PDF page is fitted inside the protected content area, and decoration is clipped away from that area. This can make the original text smaller. Review the preview and downloaded PDF before printing.
Do presets erase my words or PDF selection?
No. Presets change the border appearance while keeping the current file, wording and selected pages. Changing the preview page also does not change which pages are selected for export.
Can I use the border in Word or another design app?
The border-only SVG can be imported into software that supports SVG. This tool does not directly edit Word documents. You can also export a document from your editor as a PDF and decorate that copy here.
