A new look for your photo or video

Add a photo or video → choose a look → compare and tune → download.

Or drop a file here. Photos: JPG/PNG/WebP up to 25 MB; a smaller editing copy is prepared. Videos: MP4/MOV/WebM up to 100 MB, 10 minutes and 4K. Choose up to 30 seconds to export. Processing stays on this device.

Choose a look

Browser looks adapted from and inspired by Kevin Raymond’s TouchDesigner Effects · MIT licence. This studio processes photos and videos locally; it does not run .tox components or provide depth/audio tracking.

Files stay in this browser’s memory. Originals are unchanged. Clear files or leave this page to release the studio’s copies.

How to use Effects Studio

  1. Add a photo or video, or try a sample.
  2. Pick a look and tune it beside the preview.
  3. Choose a frame or clip, then export and download.
Step-by-step instructions
  1. Add a JPG, PNG, static WebP or browser-decodable MP4/MOV/WebM. Photos use a smaller working image. Video opens at its first frame; the default clip is the first 10 seconds. Your original stays unchanged.
  2. Choose a look from its thumbnail. Open Tune to adjust strength and the controls specific to that look. Compare original temporarily shows the unstyled photo; it does not change the export.
  3. Press Play effect or seek to inspect a frame. For video, open Clip to choose start and end times, up to 30 seconds. Reduced motion keeps the preview paused. Video previews are muted.
  4. Open Export. Save the current frame as PNG/JPG. For video, choose size and frame rate and whether MP4 should keep source audio. For photo motion, choose a loop. Create GIF or MP4, wait for the ready message, then Download.
Tips and what to expect

One workspace for photo and video effects

Use film grain for a textured snapshot, CRT for a retro screen, pencil for a monochrome sketch, or pixel and halftone looks for a graphic poster. Glitch, grain, CRT and water also have motion. These are stylising effects, not restoration, object detection or AI image enhancement.

Choose the format for where you will share it

PNG is a practical image choice for line work or a graphic look; JPG uses a fixed high-quality setting and is often smaller for photographs. Transparent input pixels are composited on black. GIF is silent and limited to 256 colours. Photo-effect MP4 is silent; video MP4 can keep the selected source audio. MP4 usually handles moving colour more efficiently than GIF. A still look does not become an animated effect merely by changing the file extension.

Preview before committing to a strong effect

Try lower strength first, especially on a face or small text. Pencil and halftone deliberately discard colour detail, while glitch and water move parts of the picture. Compare the exported copy as well as the preview; these effects do not establish that a photo is accurate or unaltered.

Supported files and limits
  • JPG/PNG up to 25 MB and 64 million source pixels; static WebP up to 25 MB and 24 million pixels. A working copy up to 1024px is prepared automatically. Still downloads match that prepared resolution, including video snapshots. Video exports use the chosen clip and reported output size; the tool does not restore source detail.
  • WebGL 2 is required for live effects. A current browser with graphics acceleration is recommended. If a context is lost or the device cannot compile a look, the studio reports it rather than claiming a completed result.
  • Photo motion uses 4–10 second loops and 360/480/720px exports up to 12 FPS. Video accepts up to 100 MB, 10 minutes and 4096px per side; export a 0.1–30 second clip. Video exports offer 360/480/720/1080px and 12/20/24/30 FPS. Actual size is adjusted automatically for clip length and device, shown before export. The local encoder loads about 32 MB only for animation/video exports.
  • This is a browser photo/video adaptation, not the TouchDesigner runtime. It does not process .tox files, live cameras, depth maps or audio-reactive tracking. Video decoding depends on browser codecs; an H.264 MP4 is a practical starting point. Media and generated results stay in tab memory; download before clearing or leaving. Local processing and privacy

ToolDock processes the files you select in your browser and does not upload them for this tool. Originals stay unchanged. Loading the website, processing code and Google libraries still make network requests; local file processing does not mean a network-silent page. Read what is requested and stored.

Questions about Effects Studio

Can I make a moving effect from a still photo?

Yes. Glitch, film grain, retro CRT and water provide short motion loops from a still photo. Select one, preview it, then create GIF or MP4. Photo loops have no audio. Video clips can retain source audio in MP4; GIF is always silent.

Can I keep the sound from my video?

Yes. Leave Keep original audio in MP4 selected. The selected source interval is included if it has an audio track. GIF and photo motion loops are silent. Preview playback is muted.

Why did the output size adjust after I chose a longer clip?

Long clips require many more rendered frames. The studio fits the reported output size to a bounded device workload while preserving your selected frame rate. Shorten the clip for a larger output, or use Quick for faster exports. Resolution is never increased above the source.

Why is my exported image smaller than the camera original?

The studio prepares a working photo up to 1024px to keep editing responsive and memory use bounded. Your source file is unchanged. The download reports the actual result rather than implying it retains all source pixels.
